Wednesday, July 12, 2006

On Tuesday evening, millions of people around the country will be getting a taste of the central coast, when several San Luis Obispo County restaurants are featured on the Food Network's "Rachel Ray's Tasty Travels."

It is a show watched by millions of food lovers nationwide.

In Cambria, Rachel Ray raved about Jade Pombrio's pecan-crusted halibut and Fermentations' gourmet goods, and limited-released wines made on the central coast.

In San Luis Obispo, the delicious dishes of Buona Tavola are also getting a few minutes of fame, along with favorites from Big Sky Kitchen.

So now, some of the central coast's best-kept meals are to become nationally-known eats.

"This is just taking it to a whole new level, the Food Network is watched around the country and the world," said Gainer.

The central coast episode of "Rachel Ray's Tasty Travels" airs at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, and it should re-run at 12:30 a.m., and then again on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m.
