The county approved the original plans for the Cypress Ridge development in 1996. Changes in zoning to allow for "The Lodge at Cypress Ridge" were approved in 2002. "We've done a market analysis and it indicated there was a strong need for this type of space in the community," said developer Denis Sullivan. "There are few places you can go in the county that have a golf course and also have lodging facilities, and that's what the community needs." Sullivan said he hopes to begin building all the new resort facilities by next summer. Read entire article here: Cypress Ridge to become resort destination Santa Maria Times, Kirsten Flagg |
